Glasses

Another terrible week at work; consequently it is a never-ending cycle. Every week it is a countdown until Friday. Not only for me but everyone I know. It appears that all my coworkers are miserable in their jobs. I understand that we do what we must to get by but it seems incredibly sad when you think about it.

Eye Doctor… Yes I visited the optometrist yesterday. I currently do not wear glasses or contacts because I think (thought) my vision is fine. Thinking what I saw was what everyone else saw. Consequently it was not. The doctor could not believe that I had not noticed that I am almost blind. Apparently I have astigmatism in both eyes and terrible vision. Thus I ordered a pair of glasses that should be coming in soon. They are Candies black with flowers on the sides. Also the doctor had to dilate my pupils and paralyze my eyes for certain tests. The effects lasted for 6 hours. During this time I felt completely worthless since everything seemed to be fuzzy and any bright lights felt as though they were blinding me. Leaving me unable to complete certain tasks I had to do that day. In addition the doctor thought it would be best to only purchase the glasses that day and wait six months before purchasing the contacts. I suppose I will follow up on Thursday to tell him that I want the contact examination as well.

New Diet… Lately I have not talked about weight loss. Well I have not been very strong in that area as of late. Fortunately I have a plan! Next week (aka Tomorrow) I am starting a new diet! The diet is pretty strict Monday through Friday and on Saturday and Sunday I can have a freebie (although it must be very small, Example: A small sugar free yogurt without toppings in vanilla). Hopefully it will be very effective.

Dollar Tree… Tomorrow I suppose that I will go to the Dollar Tree (for those of you that do not know everything in this store is a dollar) For me it is fun sometimes shop at this store and see what I can find. I might have reviews later (key word is Might).

Query Letter… I discovered that I would need to send my possible literary agent a query letter before I send him or her my proposal. I am currently trying to write it, but I read an article that said I needed to tell the literary agent that I am the best person to write this novel. How would I do that? By telling the literary agent my credentials qualifying me as the best candidate to write this novel. To be honest I do not have the credentials. However I do have the creativity and dedication to be a great author. Yet still I am having writers block.

Yes Again with Work...

At the moment I would have to say that I am extremely exhausted. Recently every morning I have to talk myself into going to work. Every morning I have to tell myself that I will take a nap on my lunch break and when I get off work. Basically I have to bribe myself into going to work. Plus the reminder that I have many bills to pay helps to jumpstart my morning. Still I dread it every day.

Proposal…Aside from the gloom, I have been desperately trying to make myself finish my proposal. Antoinette recently discovered that I do not need to write my entire novel before I become published. Instead I need to write a proposal to a literary agent (basically a proposal is a document expressing my ideas for a novel). If the literary agent likes my proposal he/she will take the responsibility of finding a publisher who agrees with him/her. If the publisher thinks my proposal is worth funding he/she will give me an advance (standard advance is $15,000). The advance would be to fund my novel; which makes more sense than writing it for free. The advance would be greatly beneficial because I would be able to pursue my career full time. Instead of writing only in my spare time hoping inspiration comes to me. Moreover, a standard literary agent will only take fifteen percent of the profit from my book sales.

Out and out… This week it seems almost every night I have been going out to restaurants, book stores, shoe stores, etc. Mostly it was Antoinette and I venturing out; although Également did go with us a few times. On one of our outings I bought a new pair of flats! They are exceedingly cute! They are black with lace lining the outside alongside a bow!

Daydreaming… Have you ever wanted to announce to your boss, “I dread waking up every morning because I know that I have to be here in the next 2 hours. Basically I dread waking up 5 days of the week. What am I saying? This is my last week working here.” Even typing that makes me feel completely at ease and yet giddy. It maybe Sad but it is true.

Headaches

Today I have a headache. Antoinette thinks it might be a migraine. Myself? I am not fairly certain if it is or if it is not. Why? Because I do not think I have ever had a migraine before. Lately nearly every morning I have had a headache. Sometimes it lasts for only a couple of hours other times it can last all day. Perhaps I am just dehydrated. Well I suppose I will see the doctor about it next week.

On A Pale Horse… Recently I have been reading the novel On A Pale Horse by Piers Anthony. Thus far it is quite fascinating; however, I have only read a few pages. Yet It inspires me to be more imaginative with my own novels.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus… This is truly an attention-grabbing movie. I relatively enjoyed the many different imaginations that each individual displayed throughout. However the movie is somewhat sad; which I am not predominantly fond of. Although I understand that it must be sad given the story line. Still I am not one for sad movies.

Sculpture… A couple of weeks ago I finally made a sculpture. The sculpture is a blooming flower; which I absolutely love. All I need to do for it to be complete is to buy some paint next week and paint it. The color I intend for it to be has not been decided upon yet.

So this week was horrendous. Everything seemed to go wrong. The only explanation that I have is: one thing after another seemed to build up to an explosion of chaos. I have been composing budgets for the next several paychecks. I must say that it is quite depressing to see that the money would disappear as swiftly as it arrives. Apparently that is how life works.

Dress Cutesy… Lately all things that are cutesy have exceedingly intrigued me. I even bought a pair of Hello Kitty earrings. Yes I admit that the purchase was not thought through since I cannot wear them to work. In addition I bought a pair of black opaque stockings; which are incredibly cute. Antoinette tells me I look similar to a little girl when I wear them. It matters not to me I still think they are exceedingly cute! Moreover lately I have been researching color contact lenses. Unfortunately I have not worn contacts before but I am willing to try them. The color I would categorize my eyes in would be Bluish-Green. Though I think with the circle lenses I am going to order the Golden-Blue lenses.

Angel Beats… Recently I listened to the Song: My Soul Your Beats/Brave Song. Upon listening to this song I loved it. Then realized it was a theme song to an anime series entitled Angel Beats. Before deciding on whether or not I should watch an episode I decided to read about it. Researching information about the series I found that it was about the afterlife. It has very unique and intriguing take on the afterlife. Episode 1, 2, and 3 are the only episodes I have watched so far. Thus far I find it quite enjoyable.

The Last Airbender… This past week I watched The Last Airbender with Antoinette. I have only watched a couple episodes of anime series Avatar (The Last Airbender is the live action movie of the series Avatar). Upon watching the trailer for The Last Airbender I had high hopes that it would be an incredible movie. Sadly that was not how it played out. It had the means to be grand. However the acting, writing, and action scenes were very disappointing. Those disappointing key aspects basically ruined the movie for me.

My Playlist…There is a small pink playlist on the right side of my blog. Starting next week I have decided to have a new set of songs. I think that I will start changing them every week.
